#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. It is observed on the Tuesday following U.S. Thanksgiving. After the shopping mania of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season and gets us in the mood to give. It’s a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy. So while we begin the winter holiday season, let the spirit of giving warm your hearts.

For those wanting to get in the spirit of end-of-year giving, we’ve selected three of our favorite cookbooks that make the perfect thank you gifts for the chefs in your life.

Baking Chez Moi by Dorie Greenspan

Dorie Greenspan is the award-winning author of Around My French Table and Baking: From My Home to Yours. This new book, Baking Chez Moi is an exciting collection of simple desserts. The recipes are easy to follow and the pictures look good enough to eat!

The Taste of Country Cooking by Edna Lewis

This is a cookbook that every chef should have in his or her kitchen. Edna Lewis shares the uniquely American country cooking she grew up with some fifty years ago in a small Virginia Piedmont farming community that had been settled by freed slaves. With menus for all four seasons, she celebrates the ways her family prepared and enjoyed food, savoring the flavors of each special time of year.

A Modern Way to Cook by Anna Jones

This was one of the most anticipated cookbook releases of 2015 – it’s a brilliant collection of quick easy to make recipes for any day of the week, and they are all delicious.
