Adeline is the Europe sales administrator for the silicone kitchenware accessories brand inspired by nature, marrying design and functionality. 5 questions for Adeline…
What is your mission within Charles Viancin Group?
I participate in sales administration: I manage orders from our retail customers and make sure that products delivery is always on time on all our markets through Europe.
What is your favorite inspiration?
My favorite inspiration is probably BANANA LEAF® I like very much its uncluttered design also because green is my favorite color. As I have a big family, I love cooking and the special casserole lid is ideal for these opportunities and gets together
What is your favorite recipe?
I love chocolate, especially chocolate brownies with almonds.
What I need for 4 servings:
15 minutes to prepare
30 minutes to cook
– 1 3/4 cups sugar
– 5 tablespoons butter
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 3/4 cup cocoa powder, Dutch-process or natural
– 3 large eggs
– 1 1/2 cups almond flour
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8″ square pan or 9″ round pan; either should be at least 2″ deep.
Place the sugar, butter, and salt in a microwave-safe bowl or saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring with a heatproof spatula until the butter melts and the mixture lightens in color. This step helps melt the sugar, which will help give the brownies a shiny crust.
If you’ve heated the sugar and butter in a saucepan, transfer the mixture to a bowl; otherwise, just leave the hot ingredients right in their microwave-safe bowl. Let the mixture cool for a couple of minutes.
Blend in the vanilla and cocoa, then add the eggs and mix until shiny. Blend in the flour and baking powder. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it to the edges.
Bake the brownies for 33 to 38 minutes, until the top is set; and a cake tester or toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or nearly so, with perhaps a few wet crumbs, or a tiny touch of chocolate at the tip of the tester.
Remove the brownies from the oven and cool them for about 15 minutes before cutting. Once the brownies are cool, cover them tightly with plastic. Store at room temperature for several days; freeze for longer storage.
Can you share a DIY tip with us?
I adore tinkering! I studied the design and as a result, I had the opportunity to create many prototypes. From the creation to the elaboration, it is a real pleasure to tinker useful things to improve the everyday life. My DIY advice is never forgetting the protections. Glasses, gloves or helmet, I never forget them.
What are your dreams?
I would love living abroad. I already lived for 12 months in Canada, in Toronto, and so I can get used to the Anglo-Saxon culture really quickly. I dream that I can live either in New York or in Australia someday.
